Asks the City Manager to confer with the Assistant City Manager for Community Development and the Commissioner of Inspectional Services to research and report back to the Ordinance Committee on the numbers and types of variances residents seek to provide third and fourth bedrooms or other renovations to keep their families in Cambridge and whether there are actions that the City could take, for example a more streamlined variance procedure, to make it quicker, simpler and less costly to do these renovations
