One thing at a time, chosen for you. You don't pick, so nobody can arrange to keep confirming a friend, and the record gets what it needs next instead of what looks easiest.
Like Wikipedia: no real name needed. It carries everything you've done.
A screen name carries a track record, and the standing to settle a page somebody else disputed, so it has to be provable. Otherwise anyone could file as you.
Private. It exists so you can be let back in if you lose the password, and for nothing else: it never appears on the site, it is left out of the export the record is built from, and nothing is sent to it.
