- Policy orderO-7City Of Cambridge - CITY CLERK OFFICE, CAMBRIDGE MASSACHUSETTS Policy Order Resolution O-7 IN CITY COUNCIL January 27, 2003 VICE MAYOR DAVIS COUNCILLOR DECKER COUNCILLOR GALLUCCIO COUNCILLOR MAHER COUNCILLOR MURPHY COUNCILLOR REEVES COUNCILLOR SIMMONS MAYOR SULLIVAN COUNCILLOR TOOMEY WHEREAS: The state budget crisis has led to a discussion of cutbacks to the state government fleet and a focus on ride sharing alternatives, such as Zipcar; now therefore be it ORDERED: That the City Manager be and hereby is requested to report back to the City Council on the feasibility of a fleet reduction that focuses on ride sharing alternatives, like Zipcar, for City use; and be it further ORDERED: That the City Manager be and hereby is requested to report back to the City Council with comprehensive guidelines for when SUVs are purchased, reflecting fiscal concerns and other applicable City policies, such as the Climate Protection Plan.Vice Mayor Davis, Councillor Decker, Councillor Galluccio, Councillor Maher, Councillor Murphy, Councillor Reeves, Councillor Simmons, Mayor Sullivan, Councillor Toomey
