WHEREAS: There has been much discussion about the need for permanent public restrooms in the city, particularly in areas such as the Cambridge Common and Central and Harvard Squares; now therefore be it

ORDERED: That the City Manager be and hereby is requested to convene a task force to look into the creation of providing permanent public restrooms at high volume locations throughout the city such as public parks and squares; and be it further

ORDERED: That the task force should include representation from the Human Services Department, the Department of Public Works, the Police Department, the Public Health Commission, the Historic Commission, the City Council, an appropriate member of the public and business associations; and be it further

ORDERED: That the City Manager be and hereby is requested to report back to the City Council on this matter.
