f\.pri121, 2016 [phone removed] [phone removed] TTY www.mass.gov/ago We understand that on January 5, 2016, you filed a complaint with the Cambridge City Council (the "City Council") and the Cambridge City Clerk (the "City Clerk"), alleging a : violation ofthe Open Meeting Law, G.L. c. 30A, §§ 18-25. The City Council and City Clerk is required to notify our office of the complaint and any remedial action taken to address the ' complaint. G.L. c. 30A, § 23(b); 940 CMR 29.05(5).

Our office received notification and a response from the City Couricil and City Clerk on January 27, 2016. · Under the Open Meeting Law, a complaint is ripe for review by our office when the complainant files a copy of the initial complaint with the Division of Open Government, provided that at least 30 days have passed since that complaint was filed with the public bqdy. G.L. c. 30A, § 23(b); 940 CMR 29.05(6).

We sent you a letter on February 4, 2016 stating that if we did not receive the original complaint from you by Tuesday, April 5, 2016, we would presume the action taken by the City Council and City Clerk was sufficient and would close this file. Our office cunently has no record of a complaint filed by you in this matter. Therefore, we- now consider this matter closed.
