To the City of Cambridge:

We, the undersigned residents of Cambridge, Massachusetts, believe the city should initiate a Pilot Program for Off-Leash Hours at Sacramento Field. This request rests on a deeply felt and long- expressed community need. At a recent well-advertised and well-attended 90-minute community meeting, all but two residents present supported this request. This request also rests on a record of success: Off-Leash Hours programs at parks across the city have cultivated park stewardship, improved the condition of the parks, strengthened neighborhoods and neighborhood spirit, encouraged responsible use of the parks by dog owners, and increased the rate of dog licensing. Given the great success of these programs elsewhere in the city and the heartfelt community support for this proposal, we ask that the city institute a Pilot Program in Sacramento Field. Thank you very much for considering our petition. Page 2 of 14 Signatures 1.
