The City Council is currently in the process of forming a Charter Review Commission; and

In an effort to ensure we have a candidate selection process that is balanced, there is a desire to have multiple City Council members select self-nominated candidates for the Charter Review Commission; and

It has been determined that an ad-hoc committee can be formed from members of the City Council to appoint members to the Charter Review Commission; now therefore be it

That an ad-hoc committee of the Cambridge City Council be formed for the purpose of reviewing and selecting self-nominated residents and stakeholders to be on the Charter Review Commission with the following four (4) City Council members:

Mayor Siddiqui

Vice Mayor Mallon

Councillor Nolan

Councillor Toner

That the ad-hoc committee confers with the Law Department prior to any meeting to discuss confidentiality and open meeting law issues; be it further ordered

That the ad-hoc committee will ensure the full City Council has input into the Charter Review Commission Members and will put a communication on the June 27, 2022 Council meeting agenda with a list of Commission Members.
